The label is committed to sustainable practices, with strong values on zero-waste and the use of high quality materials. Each piece is bespoke,

created only for its owner upon purchase, not overproduced. Careful pattern cutting minimises waste, and any offcuts are repurposed

for smaller projects. Continually exploring new sustainable methods.

​ Saddle Stitch

Traditional hand stitching is used throughout each collection.

Unlike machine-stitching, hand stitching locks each stitch in individually, meaning if the stitching should fray or become severed, the rest of the

stitch line will not come undone and can be easily repaired,

lasting for many years to come.

​Leathers

Leather is sustainable and biodegradable.

 Hides are chosen from trusted leather suppliers who uphold sustainable and ethical practices, using leathers

that are by-products of the meat industry.

Globally millions of cattle hides are wasted worldwide each year, ending up in landfill causing a significant environmental impact.

Care

Each order comes with it's own care card, with information on how to care for and protect the leather.

All KSSTUDIOS Leather Goods are designed and hand crafted by Kathryn from her studio in Lancaster, England.

Packaging

All natural and recyclable.

Each item comes in a protective cotton drawstring bag with recycled tissue paper and handwoven natural wicker basket that can

be used within the home.

Future

In the future we are working on sustainability projects, using deadstock leathers, upcycling leather items and fittings that would end up in landfill, and rework them into new leather goods collections.

'The Tree App'

For every order placed at KSSTUDIOS we donate to             to plant 5 trees.  An organisation dedicated to global reforestation, planting millions of trees to restore nature and biodiversity.
